Direct Ferries launches B2B brand and new booking API
Today Directferries.com, the world’s largest ferry ticket OTA, announced the launch of a B2B brand, Direct Ferries Connect, as well as a booking API. This technology enables partners, such as (intermodal) OTA’s and travel agencies to sell Direct Ferries‘ market leading ferry ticket inventory, which covers more than 3800 routes globally. Last year globally over 2 billion people travelled by ferry.
Ido Schiferli, Direct Ferries’ Head of Partnerships, commented on the new B2B API, ‘Partners could already make use of deep links, a white-label booking engine, and our travel agent booking portal to place ferry ticket bookings, but the new B2B API gives partners now full control over the booking experience, including being able to package a ferry crossing as part of complete holiday booking. Via the new API, partners gain access to the 3,800 plus ferry routes and over 250 ferry operators that are offered by Direct Ferries, in both a simple and agile way. We will continue to invest in and build out our B2B proposition further, to respond to the growing demand we are seeing from the travel industry.’
